Nikos Mangioros is Associate Professor at the School of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specialized on  “Canon and Ecclesiastical Law”. (Government Gazette No. 125 / 14-02-2018).
He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Pontifical University of Laterano in Rome.
He teaches Orthodox Normal Law, Sources of Canon  Law, Comparative Canon Law, Ecclesiastical Law, Church and State Relations in Greece and the European Union.

He organized and participated in various conferences dealing with  the dialogue between Christians, religion and state relations, human rights, the relationship of religion, culture and sustainable development, as well as the protection of the religious heritage. 
He was the coordinator of the European Thematic Network on European Religion and State Interaction Studies – EuReSIS Net and of the Working Group “Theology – Study of Religion” of the European Sectoral Qualification Framework for Humanities and the Arts (Tuning). He is also  ECTS coordinator of the School of Theology and a member of the Committee of European Educational Programs of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2006. 
He participates in various Committees of the School of Theology dealing with cooperation with other Universities, European research programs, the ECTS system, the legislative framework for Universities, the organization of conferences, curricula. He participates in international social and scientific organizations outside AUTh.
